SMOG of DATA is a digital translation software that transforms images across different mediums—painting, collage, digital composition, and generative art. The process follows a strict formal procedure:

1. Select an abstract word.

2. Search the word across Google, Yahoo, Bing, or Pinterest image results.

3. Choose one striking image from the results.

4. Extract its dominant color.

5. Paint only that color as a flat swatch.

6. Repeat the search with the same keyword.

7. Layer new colors from subsequent images until the canvas is filled with chromatic fragments.

The result is a visual algorithm—a coded yet intuitive composition where machine-searched images dissolve into pure color fields, blurring the line between digital randomness and deliberate abstraction.
